In Ogun, Emir of Kano preaches love, peaceful co-existence among Nigerians

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has canvassed harmonious inter-ethnic relationships among Nigerians irrespective of where they reside..
The Sarkin Kano spoke in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as he paid a courtesy visit to the Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun at his Oke Mosan Office.
While noting peaceful co-existence among Nigerians residing in the state, the Emir was particularly grateful to Governor Abiodun for the peace and protection given to Kano indigenes and others in the state.
According to him, Nigeria would be a better place to live if Nigerians forget ethnic differences and live as brothers and sisters.
’Ogun State is a land of cultural, educational and administrative excellence and our people have traded and settled here for hundreds of years.
‘’Kano has also become a second home for Southern including Ogun State and people from the Western region. It is an example of how unity brings strength to our people and country’’ the Emir stated.
On his part, Abiodun said his administration would continue to encourage inter-ethnic relationships among Nigerians irrespective of where they come from.
‘’The security of lives and property of Nigerians irrespective of where they come from is important to us as a government because we believe that the tak of building our future together agenda of our administration would not be complete without the contributions of the diverse thnic groups residing in the state’’
‘’We appreciate the fact that we cannot do it alone. So we encourage inter-ethnic relationships with others. I have in my Alhaji hadi Sani from Sokoto State as a Senior Special Assistant on inter-community relations. We recognize the fact that we have a lot of diversities in our state and they must have a voice and representation so they know we do appreciate them‘’ he said.
The Kano emir who had earlier visited the Alake and paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo, in his palace, later visited the former president Olusegun Obasanjo at his presidential library.
