Lalong Commends Clergy Men For Role In Propagating Peace

Plateau state Governor Simon Lalong on Tuesday commended the role being played by Clergymen in propagating the message of peace in the State.
Lalong made the commendation when he received on a courtesy call members of the Plateau State Arewa Pastors for Peace lead by its Chairman, Reverend Sylvester Dombin.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy, Professor Sonni Tyoden, praised the organization for intending to hold its international conference in Jos, the Plateau State capital.
Lalong further urged the organization to partner with the Plateau State Peace Building Agency to provide spiritual support in maintaining peace in the State.
The Governor also lauded the body for its concern towards the welfare of retired Clergymen, stressing that providing them with medical and social support will enhance their wellbeing.
Lalong also expressed commitment to ensure that relative peace currently enjoyed in the state is not only sustained but translated into a lasting one.
He said that by running an all-inclusive government, he had demonstrated deep desire for the state to return to its “good old days.
Lalong urge the people of the state to be their brothers keeper at all times .
