This was announced in the resignation letters dated 15th May, 2024 and addressed to the Secretary to Rivers State Government.

In Chinedu’s letter, he cited a toxic work environment as the reason for his resignation.

“It is a truism that a calm, safe and friendly environment would stimulate efficient service delivery and enhanced productivity.

“It is however unfortunate to note that my current work space has become toxic and no longer guarantees a favourable environment to enable me realize my set targets for the Education sector in the State,” the letter read in part

ThisNigeria reports that this comes after governor Fubara announced that a probe would be launched into the administration of former Rivers governor and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Recall that a former commissioner, Chukwuemeka Woke had also resigned after he was appointed as the CEO of the Ogun- Osun River Basin Development Authority.

However, in his resignation letter, he accused governor Fubara of not assigning him a portfolio nor paid him any salary or allowance.
