Senator Ayogu Eze, the senator who represented Enugu North Senatorial District between 2007 and 2015 is dead.
The 66-year-old deceased lawmaker is a former Senate spokesman.
It was gathered that Eze died in an Abuja hospital after a protracted illness.

According to the source, the late Senator has been down, a situation that made him unable to attend his child’s wedding ceremony held earlier in the year in Lagos State.
Eze, who is also one of the founding members of the Peoples Democratic Party, was confirmed by the Senate in May 2023 as a federal Commissioner for Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission after he defected to the All Progressives Congress.
