Kaugama Council Targets 75,000 Children’s For Immunizations

No fewer than 75,000 under five years Children’s are targeted to be immunized against Polio in Kaugama local government area of jigawa state, the Manager Primary Health-care Development Agency of the local government, Alhaji Lawan Garba Kaugama announced this during the Task-Force meeting on polio immunization in the area.
Alhaji Lawan Garba who said they have recruited and trained ad-hoc workers for the successful conduct of the immunization exercise, called on traditional and religious leaders as well as civil society organizations to mobilize people in the locality to achieve the desired goals.
On his part the chairman of Kaugama local government council, Alhaji Ahmad Yahaya Marke enjoined households in the area to ensure that their children are immunized.
Also speaking the local government Immunization Officer, Malam Inusa Jabo said they received 72,800 polio vaccines from the state primary health-care development agency during the exercise.
He reiterated their resolved in ensuring that all under aged children’s of the area were not left behind of this oneness task, stressing we are here to better the living condition of the wards of Kaugama council.
Similarly he charged nursing mother’s of the area to uphold the spirit of attending Ante natal services with the closest health facility to ensure the healthy condition of their kid’s in the bid to achieved quality health services of both themselves and their families.
