Leke Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, has tendered an apology over his comment on pastors being “goats”.

Adeboye had taken to his Instagram page to berate pastors for preaching their sermons after the G.O. had finished speaking and preaching.

“Why would you go and preach another sermon after Daddy G.O. had just finished speaking and preaching.

“You are not a son, you are a goat, sir. Next Thanksgiving Service, just do an altar call, then thanksgiving,” he wrote.

The statement sparked an outrage, with Nigerians calling for his suspension from church duties.

Responding to the outrage, Leke issued an apology via his Instagram page on Thursday.
