Rudeboy drums support for Jude Okoye amid fraud allegations

Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has publicly supported his elder brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on fraud-related charges.

In a post on his Instagram story, Rudeboy shared his thoughts about what happened to his elder brother.

He stated that what happened to Jude was exactly what someone wanted to happen. However, he didn’t state the name of the person he was referring to.

The singer encouraged his brother to stay strong, adding that what was happening would soon pass.

“Exactly what he wants. This too, shall pass. Stay strong brother @judeengees,” he wrote on Instgram.

Jude was arraigned before the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday, facing allegations of money laundering amounting to N1.38 billion, $1 million and £34,537.59.

He appeared before Justice Alexander Owoeye alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, to answer a seven-count charge.

Okoye pleaded “not guilty” to the charges but Justice Alexander Owoeye adjourned the case until February 28 for a bail hearing and April 14 for trial.

He was remanded in the Ikoyi Correctional facility.
