Africa Fixers, a new pan-African production support company, has officially launched in Lagos, promising to remove logistical bottlenecks and deliver seamless, world-class film and media production services across the continent.

Founded by Nigerian journalist and producer Obaji Akpet, the company brings together more than two decades of his hands-on experience supporting international and African productions.

The initiative aims to simplify production processes, strengthen local expertise, and provide reliable operational support to filmmakers and media organisations.

With a network of over 100 vetted professional fixers across more than 40 African countries, Africa Fixers will offer location scouting, permit facilitation, logistics coordination, crew sourcing, cultural advisory, research, and full-field production management.

Akpet said the company was established to unlock Africa’s vast storytelling potential by providing structure and trusted local access.

“Africa is one of the most dynamic storytelling environments in the world. With Africa Fixers, production across the continent will become easier, more professional, and globally competitive. Producers can now work with confidence, knowing they have trusted experts on the ground,” he said.

The company is designed to bridge the gap between international producers and dependable African professionals, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality delivery.

Beyond logistics, Africa Fixers aims to empower local fixers, strengthen cross-border collaboration, and position Africa more prominently in global media.

Akpet, who also founded Black Letter Studios and Tell Africa, has worked with global broadcasters and independent producers, building a reputation for delivering authentic African stories.
