China is reported to be close to producing a COVID19 vaccine. This vaccine is the first patent to receive approval from the National Intellectual Property Administration in China.
The vaccine entered clinical trials in China in March 2020 and showed good results when tested on mouse and guinea pigs and had passed phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials.
The vaccine, developed by Chen Wei, and his team, of the Institute of Military Medicine, can be easily mass-produced so as to combat the spread of the virus.
