
The management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), says the institution has appointed 29 new professors.
Dr Bola Adekola, the institution’s Registrar, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abeokuta on Thursday.
Adekola stated that 29 Academic staff had been elevated to the position of Professor, 19 to the position of Readers and 35 other academic staff were also elevated to higher positions.
The registrar, also the Secretary of Governing Council, said that 320 Senior Non-Teaching staff and 97 Junior staff were promoted to higher positions with effect from Jan. 1, 2022.
He expressed gratitude to the Governing Council, which acted through the Appointments and Promotions Committees for academic staff and non-teaching staff and the committees aforementioned, for enhancing service delivery without compromising standards.

“In what appears like New Year gift to the institution’s workforce, the Prof. Felix Salako led Management of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has promoted 500 members of staff.
“The promotion came barely a week after the civil servants resumed from the new year break, thus throwing the Alabata Permanent site and Mahuko Mini Campus into celebration galore,” he said. (NAN)
