Prof. AbdulGaniyu Raji, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Osun, has assured the people of the state that July 16, 2022, Governorship Election will be free, fair, and credible.
Raji gave the assurance in Ibadan, on Monday.
He said the commission would by December start rolling out programmes and activities for the election processes.
“We are fully prepared in the office, we are only waiting when we will start implementing the schedule on the timetable, which is starting in December,” he said.
The Osun REC said the commission had started making contacts with all the stakeholders, media, CSOs, political parties, including security agencies.

“We need to interact with the political class; I have met members of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) and they have assured me that they are ready to corporate.
“We have also given them our own assurance that we are ready for a free, fair, credible and transparent election.
“My message to politicians is very simple; what are their focus and aim? It is just to serve their people.
“So, whoever emerges winner among the contestants is going to develop the state, so they should come together for the development of the state,” Raji advised.
