A former member of the Rivers State Assembly, Tonye Smart Adoki has denied going back to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Adoki issued the denial while speaking in Port Harcourt, adding that his loyalty was to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
“I want to make it clear that there was no day or time that I would ever want to rescind my decision. I say this for the sake of my colleagues and my constituents, who are very important to me.”

“I stand here as I speak with you as a bona-fide and full member of the All Progressives Congress.
“As a matter of fact, I was among the two persons who came up with this decision in moving to the APC because of the oppression and division in our former party,” he said.
