Planned Strike: Industrial strike postponed, FG to meet with Union on Sept 28

Following a meeting between the Federal Government and Organised Labour, the planned strike has been postponed.
Unable to reach an agreement at the meeting on Thursday, the planned strike for September 28 has been postponed.
The meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, 28th September hence the postponement of the strike action.
However, President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, has confirmed that discussions will continue.
Meanwhile, Justice Ibrahim Galadima has granted an injunction that prevents the Union from embarking on the strike. The court order also prevents the unions, their officers, affiliates, privies from harassing workers and other Nigerians from working on Monday.
The Inspector-General of Police and the Director-General, Department of State Services (DSS), have also been ordered to protect workers from harassment by NLC and TUC.
