CRP blasts Adeyanju over attack on Wike

A group under the auspices of Concerned Rivers People (CRP) has knocked Deji Adeyanju for his recent comments against the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, accusing the activist lawyer of speaking from both sides of his mouth.

Recounting how the human rights lawyer praised President Bola Tinubu for appointing the former Rivers governor as a minister in 2023, CRP, through its Director of Communications, Robinson Uke, suggested that Adeyanju turned against Wike because he didn’t get the expected favour from the minister.

The group recalled that earlier, Adeyanju had described Wike and former Benue governor, Samuel Ortom as “the bulwarks of the party” who “single-handedly sustained the PDP from not kicking the bucket”.

It further queried, “If we may ask, what has changed that made Wike an aging personality suddenly after all these encomiums?

“Could it be that he didn’t get an expected favour from Wike? Or is all this activism just part of stomach infrastructure?”

The CRP called on Adeyanju to remain consistent in his public commentary and avoid the appearance of opportunism.
