
Youtuber, Emdee Tiamiyu has apologized to Nigerians, following severe backlash from an interview he conducted with the BBC.
In the interview with the BBC, Tiamiyu had alleged that most Nigerians use Education as a ploy to gain entry into European countries.
Following the viral spread of the video, Nigerians expressed their discontent to his claims and berated him for his mis-representation of the country.
However, the Youtuber took a U-turn on Wednesday and apologized for his choice of words during the interview, saying his intentions were misconstrued.
He said” This is not the regular video that I would do, I am doing this without any script or with anyone telling me what to say and how to say it.
“If you have seen the interview /news feature with BBC, I am truly sorry for any inconvenience may have caused you
“If you have watched the video being circulated and it made you uncomfortable in a anyway, I want to say that I am deeply deeply and sincerely sorry.
I have nothing in my heart except love, progress and positive supportive for you.
I granted the interview to highlight some of the challenges we genuinely face as a people, and to also allow us share our fraustration
Tiamiyu hails from Osun state Nigeria, and is also a migrant in the United Kingdom.
