An Igarra-born Prince, Paul Alaba Lawani has emerged the winner of Chief Gani Fawehinmi Impact and Integrity Awards for 2021 edition which was held recently in Lagos amidst other contenders for the awards.
Lawani was voted to be the best of all contenders for the awards, in the WHISTLE-BLOWING category.
Paulson as he is fondly called was recognized and nominated for the awards based on his expository activities in Akoko-Edo which drew attention to the infrastructural decay in the education and road construction sections.
It will be recalled that his viral video which called to question, the quality of road construction work along Lawani street in Igarra drew attention and condemnation of quack contractors who collect funds meant for projects but due to lack of supervision deliver low quality work.

Paulson, who is an architect, businessman and youth leader has been engaged in community development work at the grassroots level in the last 8 years and counting.
He has on different occasions, mobilized and advocated for the fixing of bad public roads, relying on donations and free labour from the communities affected.
He had also provided furniture and general repairs for several schools that were in dire need of assistance. Paulson Alaba, an Afemai son, is a native of Igarra in Akoko-Edo LGA.
