The glitz glamour of FELABRATION 2022

Nigeria-born recording artist and actor, Panshak Henry Zamani, better known as Ice Prince Zamani, was present at this year’s Felabration, with the theme ‘Fear Not 4 Man’. His performance was hot, and also, he was the first superstar artist to give fan items.

During his performance, Ice Prince passed a signal to his DJ to stop the music and play the hit track that brought him to the limelight entitled ‘Oleku’.

That was one of Nigeria’s most remixed songs of all time. The track was released in 2011, and that year was an eventful year for Ice Prince and the whole Chocolate City crew.

Zamani revived the track on stage, and the whole audience were so happy and vibing with the song. But there was a fan standing behind the media team at the barricade where the team were covering the event, The guy was vibing and dancing to the spiritual song. Zamani sighted him and said, Hey! you take, and he gave him the expensive glasses he was putting on the stage.

During an interview, the fan named Femi, said, “I am the happiest man on earth, reason being that it was because I love Zamani’s music. And this is the first time I am seeing him live performing on the stage.
He gave me his glasses; I do really appreciate him. ‘Thank you, Kuti family, I love you all. And thank you for giving me the privilege to see my mentor perform live on the stage. More blessings ARARARARA, ORORORORO, thanks,” he said.

Moving forward, talented comedian Fagade Olufemi Ademola, aka Omobaba, who has been the official MC for over a decade at the Felabration, introduced Nigerian rapper and singer, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael popularly known as Zlatan.
After a few minutes of his performance. He took off his T-shirt and threw it to the crowd. The T-shirt caused a commotion as about four guys were dragging on who would take the prized item.

Finally, an anonymous guy collected it and put it on. The Zanku master himself appraised the material and told the guy wearing the material to come backstage, where the T-shirt was customized, with his face printed on it.

The Zanku master later pranked the crowd with his Rolex wristwatch and his diamond necklace. In fact, he pretended as if he wanted to throw it at the audience. They were all alert, ready to grab the wear, but the cat held it back to himself. The audience was practically yelling, ‘throw it’, but he didn’t.

Meanwhile, before the Zanku master stepped on the stage for his performance, an upcoming artist performed. The crowd was ecstatic, throwing sachets of Chelsea dry gin on the stage. However, unknowingly to Zlatan, the sachet gin wraps were still on the stage during his performance, and he mistakenly jumped on some, splashing the contents on one of the videographers’ faces. The unfortunate fellow battled with it for a couple of minutes, before he came back to his normal self.

When Zlatan left the stage, Omobaba took over. He asked the audience; ‘do you know the reason why our artists don’t throw these items?” He explained that it was because they now use original items and heels, since some seven to nine years back. He added, “If dem perform for a few minutes, dem don throw their chains and shoes, but now, e no fit happen, because na original them dey use.”
