Jos Business School on Wednesday hosted some members of the Plateau business community to a luncheon aimed at training and developing young entrepreneurs to be self-reliant and to improve their economic prosperity.
Our correspondent reports that the Jos Business School offers a range of management and leadership training programs in many areas such as sales/marketing and customer service program, administrative/secretarial and human resource programs, and asset management.
Chief Executive Officer of Jos Business School, Dr. Ezekiel Gomos, said the aim of the launch meeting was to provide a platform and opportunity for entrepreneurs.
“We are here essentially to rub minds together in our journey towards building a more prosperous, productive, and business-oriented Plateau State .”
He said the Jos Business school is working towards creating partnerships that would attract quality investment to drive growth and create jobs in Plateau.

Speaking during his presentation at the event Wiebe Boer, a Principal with the Boston Consulting Group in Lagos, shared his projections on likely economic, social, and geopolitical trends for businesses in Plateau.
He encouraged entrepreneurs
in Plateau not to relent, be focused, and urged them to go into business they are passionate about.
In his words ” You must make your business properly structured and pick your investors properly.
Our correspondent reports that the event was attended by Mr. David Daser, the Director-General of Plateau State Information Technology Development Agency, and over 20 entrepreneurs.
A participant Yilchit Barde who spoke to our correspondent said ” It’s an invaluable experience for every start-up owner to glean wisdom nuggets from well-informed Entrepreneurs like Dr. Boer who have run multi-million companies.
She further added that “The highlight for her was hearing first hand the issues most Entrepreneurs face considering the Nigerian factors and also knowing he built his first two start-ups in Jos, which gives her some confidence in against the popular limiting belief about the geography.
