BetCorrect, operated by Correct Tech Nigeria Limited, has introduced a social betting platform designed to bring sports bettors together to share selections, follow punters and compete with friends.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Lagos, BetCorrect/Correct Tech Nigeria Limited said the platform was developed to transform sports betting from an individual activity into a more interactive and community-driven experience.
The company described BetCorrect as Nigeria’s first social sportsbook, combining conventional sports betting with social networking features that allow users to interact around betting activities.
According to the statement, users can follow other punters, view publicly shared betting slips, react to selections, comment on them and rebet picks they find interesting.
The platform also seeks to reduce reliance on booking codes commonly shared through WhatsApp and Telegram. Users can open shared slips directly, review the selections and rebet them without entering a booking code.
BetCorrect said users can modify shared selections before placing their own bets by removing markets, changing games or adjusting their stakes.
Its Feed provides betting selections from accounts followed by users, while the Discovery page allows them to find friends, other punters and new betting ideas.
The company also said public profiles display users’ betting activity and win counts, enabling bettors to track visible results and follow accounts of interest.
It, however, cautioned users against blindly copying other punters’ selections, stressing that previous performance does not guarantee future results.
BetCorrect also features peer-to-peer betting, allowing users to challenge one another directly, agree on terms and put stakes on the line in head-to-head contests.
According to the company, it does not take a commission from peer-to-peer bets, while stakes are returned to players’ wallets where applicable rules determine that there is no winner.
Beyond sports betting, the platform offers football, basketball, tennis and live events, alongside virtual games and Virtual Leagues.
Its casino section includes slots, table games and live dealer-style entertainment, while features such as SGM and Correct Flex provide additional options for customising betting slips.
The BetCorrect app is available on the Android Play Store and Apple App Store. The Apple App Store identifies Correct Tech Nigeria Limited as the developer of the application.
The company urged users to gamble responsibly by setting limits, avoiding chasing losses and staking only what they can afford to lose.
