A Special Court Martial set up by the Nigerian Army to try the former Group Managing Director and Executive Vice Chairman of Nigerian Army Properties Limited, Major General U. M. Mohammed, has found him guilty of 14 of the 18 count charges, preferred against him by the prosecuting counsels.
The eight-member panel, headed by Major General James Myam, also reserved Tuesday 10th of October, 2023 for sentencing.
The embattled Major General was court-marshalled by the hierarchy of the Nigerian Army for abuse of office, corruption, and forgery, amongst others.

The President of the Special Court Marshall, Major General James Nyam said: “On counts 1 to 6 involving misappropriation of money from ship owners at marina, Lagos, Major General UM Mohammed was found guilty. Count 8 which involves the Forgery of a document titled Board of Directors Resolution of Nigerian Army Properties Limited, the General is found guilty and in Count 9 which is the neglect to prevent a felony, he is also guilty”.
The panel also found the accused General guilty of Selling the company’s property while no longer serving at Army Properties Ltd for N200m in count 12.
