Breach of contract: Ex-NFF boss Pinnick sues Davido, demands N2.3 billion, apology
The former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, has sued singer, Davido, for alleged breach of contract.
Pinnick is seeking N2.3 billion in damages and a four-day public apology from the defendants.
According to the suit filed at the High Court of Delta State in Effurun, Warri, Pinnick claimed that he had booked Davido to perform as the headline artiste at the 19th edition of the “Warri Again” concert, which was held on October 6, 2023.
He said he had paid Davido N70 million as his performance fee and also reserved a private jet for him and his crew but the father of twins failed to show up.
Pinnick has therefore asked the court to award him N2 billion as general damages against Davido and his music label.
He is also seeking N150 million as legal and professional fees, and N30 million as the cost of filing the suit.
Davido neither confirmed nor denied the allegations.
