Protesting Youths Defy Curfew in Edo

Protesting youths returned to major streets in Edo state on Tuesday morning in defiance of the Edo state government’s 24-hour curfew.

They used planks to barricade major streets and made bonfires of used tyres as they continued to harass pedestrians and motorists.

At the University of Benin, Ugbowo main gate where they had laid siege for the fourth day running, the youths stopped a lorry load of Soft drinks, that was passing by and looted its contents.
