No less than 1,145 new infections of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been recorded in the country, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), has said
Indications from the NCDC website on Thursday, night, stated that as of Dec. 17, 2020, 1,145 new confirmed cases and one death were recorded in the country.
Reports show that the figure is the highest single case recorded in one day since the epidemic broke early in the year in the country.
.With the new figures, Nigeria now has a total of 76, 207.
According to new cases, Lagos State recorded 459 cases, with FCT, Kaduna, and Plateau, following with 145, 138 and 80 respectively.
Katsina has 70 cases, Gombe-52, Niger-31, Kano-23, Bayelsa -21, Bauchi-18, Ondo-18,
Other are Rivers-17, Ogun-12, Oyo-12, Edo – eight, Nasarawa- eight, Ebonyi- seven, Osun- six, Ekiti- five, Kebbi- five, Borno- four, Jigawa- three, Akwa Ibom- two and Anambra-one.
According to the NCDC, of the 76,207 cases confirmed, 67,110 persons have been discharged with 1,201 deaths nationwide.
