Abdulmumuni Danga, Kogi State Commissioner for Water Resources, has been charged by the Nigeria Police Force for raping and assaulting Elizabeth Oyeniyi.
Oyeniyi is a beauty queen and had accused Danga of not taking care of his sibling, who happened to be a friend of Oyeniyi. In response to Oyeniyi’s accusation on social media, Danga sent his boys to beat up the beauty queen.
However, she was stripped and asked to apologise to the commissioner, after which Danga took her to a hotel where he raped her. And to save face, Danga recruited the services of a female, identified as Natasha, to debunk Oyeniyi’s claim.
The case has been referred in a bid to protect Oyeniyi from any harassment from thugs in the community.
