President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday swore-in Justice Olukayode Ariwoola as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).
Ariwoola was sworn before the commencement of the weekly Federal Executive Council(FEC) meeting in Abuja.

The swearing in ceremony was witnessed by the Vice President , prof Yemi Osinbajo, Governors Seyi Makinde and governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Oyo and Ondo respectively.
Also present at the event were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan; Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Bambari, National Security Adviser (NSA), Babagana Monguno as well as other justices of the supreme court.
Ariwoola was on Tuesday conferred with national honour by president Muhammadu Buhari at the International Conference Centre, ICC, in Abuja.
