A former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode has defected to the All progressives Congress (APC).
Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina made the announcement via Facebook on Thursday.
Adesina shared pictures of Fani-Kayode’s meeting with Buhari and wrote: “President Buhari receives New APC Member Femi Fani-Kayode in State House on 16th Sep 2021.”
Recall that on February 11th, 2021, Fani-Kayode said that he would rather die than join the APC after Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello made the announcement on February 10, 2021.
Denying his defection, he had tweeted “The suggestion that l joined the APC is false and insulting. Those that are peddling this fake news should bury their heads in shame. From what we have witnessed, l would rather die than join a filthy, rat-infested sinking ship like the Almajiri Peoples Congress (APC).
“I am committed to opposing the APC and those that are in their ranks for the rest of my natural life and I will NEVER join them no matter what! They are nothing but darkness whilst l stand for the light of God and truth: there can be NO fellowship between light and darkness.”
