Lawmaker promises support, dividends of democracy

Assemblyman Abdullahi Angibi, representing Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has promised to provide more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency.

He said this would improve the standard of living of the people of his constituency and for the development of the state.

Angibi made the pledge while speaking during the unveiling and presentation of T-shirts/banners by his campaign team in Lafia on Saturday.

He said that providing more dividends of democracy to the people of his constituency would also promote peace in the area.

“I want to appreciate you for your support and I call for more support to enable me to succeed and for you to enjoy more dividends of democracy,” he said.

Angibi assured the constituents of effective and quality representation at the state legislature.

He commended the two lawmakers for the show of solidarity and his campaign team for the presentation of T-Shirts and banners as well as their support for him.

Angibi, who is the Chairman of, House Committee on Public Account, commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule on his developmental strides across all facets of life in the state.

He called on the people of the constituency and the state to give the governor more support to succeed beyond 2023.

The chairman also commended the Speaker of Nasarawa House of Assembly, Mr. Ibrahim Balarabe- Abdullahi, for his all-inclusiveness in the House, passion for the state, and support for the governor and the lawmakers.

Also speaking, former members representing Lafia Central Constituency at the then Plateau State House of Assembly, Mr. Salihu Angulu and Mr. Adamu Sule who represented Lafia Central Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in the third assembly endorsed Angibi for the second term.

Earlier, the Chairman, Angibi’s Campaign Team, Mr. Ilele Gayam, lauded the stewardship of Angibi and passed a vote of confidence on him.

Gayam emphasized the need for Angibi to recontest for the second term to enable him to consolidate on his good leadership.
