One of Nigeria’s music sensations Inetimi Timaya Odon, whose stage name is Timaya, has been arrested following his involvement in a hit and run car accident.
The singer was said to have hit a lady with his car, and while the lady accosted him he drove off as she was still holding on to the side mirror of his G-wagon thereby causing her injuries in Ikate, Lagos State and taking off.
Speaking on the arrest on Thursday, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu who is Lagos police spokesperson said, Timaya ‘is being investigated for a case of serious motor accident.’
Reports have it that a lady had called up Timaya over the alleged accident saying ‘God will Punish Timaya, He drove off while the lady he hit her vehicle was still holding on to his G-wagons side mirror”
Another lady wrote on her Instagram page, @whyte_26, “These celebrities and how they behave. Timaya nearly killed my sister this morning. He hit her with his car and run at Ikate few hours ago.

“He hit my sister’s car and she came down to ask him to look at what he did. This heartless human was asking for number and she told him he would block her. Instead of @timayatimaya to do the needful, he hit my sister with his car and ran away
“She is at the hospital right now in serious pain and the funniest part is that I messaged him on Instagram to do the needful, but this wicked fellow blocked me after reading my message.”
