A three-storey building under construction has collapsed in the Yaba Area of Lagos state on Saturday.
According to reports, the collapsed building is located on Akanbi Crescent, Onike, near the main gate of University of Lagos (UNILAG.
It was learnt that an unspecified number of construction workers are trapped under the rubble of the collapsed building.

Confirming the incident, the Director General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said four people have been confirmed dead while two persons have been rescued from the rubble.
He stated further that several others were still trapped, adding that rescue operations were still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.
