Two suspected one chance robbers In Wuse 2 , Abuja  who attempted to defraud their victim in a painted taxi with reg no. KUJ 959 AQ, met their timely end when they were mobbed and burnt to death.

However, Police Operatives from Wuse Division swiftly moved to the scene upon receiving the information, unfortunately, due to mob action one of the suspects was burnt to death while the other suspect is currently receiving medical attention .

ASP Yusuf Mariam,Police Public Relations Officer said preliminary investigation reveals that it was an incident of one chance robbery involving the two suspects.

“The attention of the FCT Police Command has been drawn to the viral video of a mob action in the social media, suggesting that the persons being mobbed are ‘suspected kidnappers’ who abducted a woman and her child at Wuse 2, Abuja.

“Consequently, the Commissioner of Police CP. Bala Ciroma has ordered a discreet investigation into the incident and appeals to members of the public to shun jungle justice.
