The Action Peoples Party (APP) has vowed to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressives Congress in the 2027 General Election.
The APP accused the ruling APC of aiding and abetting electoral fraud in the country.
It claimed that the massive rigging and electoral frauds that characterised the just concluded off-cycle governorship in three states were, “another criminality elevated to its peak.”
The party at its convention in Abuja on Saturday after electing a 30-member executive to run its affairs for four years.
The party returned its National Chairman, Uche Nnadi, and others, unopposed, for another four years.
Nnadi, in his acceptance speech, asked the party officials to move in a determined manner to reposition the party ahead of the 2027 polls.

He said the party was determined to provide for Nigerians, the needed viable alternative necessary for positive change and desired dividend of democracy.
Nnadi said the party had perfected strategies to wrestle power from APC to save the country’s democracy from possible collapse.
The national chairman decried the widespread electoral frauds that characterised the off-cycle governorship election in three states.
He said the possible takeover of power in 2027 by the APP would surely restore public confidence in the nation’s electoral process.
He said, “We all witnessed the electoral fraud that took place in the last general election and the recent off-cycle governorship elections.
“It is criminality elevated to its peak and it is no gainsaying that the audacious acts of these electoral robbers threatened the very foundation of the existence of our beloved nation Nigeria.
“This happened under the watch and collaboration of the rudderless and clueless APC to perpetuate itself in power.”
The National Chairman, therefore, told the party faithful to take advantage of the seeming failure of the ruling parties and launch the party big in their respective states
