The Peoples Democratic Party has appointed former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara as the acting Chairman, Board of trustees (BoT).
This is following the resignation of its former BoT chairman, Walid Jibrin at the National Executive Council meeting on Thursday.
Walid made the announcement during the party’s National Executive Council meeting in Abuja on Thursday.

Walid stated that his move was part of efforts to solve the crisis rocking the PDP and to ensure the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar’s emergence as president in 2023.
“I am stepping down as the chairman of BoT. I am stepping down to make it easier for all of us,” he stated.
Wabara has also been appointed as the political Adviser of the National Chairman of the PDP, Dr. Iyorchia Ayu.
The Ex senate president was before now the the Secretary of the PDP BoT.
