The popular Nyanya market in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja on Tuesday night was razed down by fire.

The cause of the inferno is still not known according to eyewitnesses.

But according to reports, the fire started at about 7.05pm from left wing of the market which is mainly occupied by local traders.

A witnesses account said, immediately the fire started hoodlums started looting goods mostly poultry feeds.

The fire brigade from Asokoro arrived one hour after two fires started.
