Praises as VeryDarkMan visits Benue killings scene

Social media activist, Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has received accolades for visiting Benue State over the killings of about 200 persons.

Recall that suspected terrorist herdsmen stormed Yelewata and Daudu communities in Guma Local Government Area, killing about 200 people including five security personnel and internally displaced persons (IDPs), as well as children and women.

The attack, which came days after the people of the area alleged received information of the impending coordinated attacks by marauders, left many others with varying degrees of injuries.

Following the visit of VeryDarkMan to the scene of the massacre on Sunday, netizens have praised him for taking up the challenge, wondering why President Bola Tinubu is yet to visit the scene.

A Facebook user, Abiola Peter, commended the social media activist for taking a bold step of visiting the crime scene even though he is not a government official.

“Kudos to VeryDarkMan!!! I just watched a deeply moving video of VeryDarkMan paying a solidarity visit to the troubled community in Benue State, and I must say, it’s truly commendable.

“What makes it even more remarkable is that he’s not part of the government, nor is he affiliated with any political party, yet he’s putting everything on the line for the people of Benue. I’m incredibly proud of VDM for stepping up and taking his activism to a whole new level.”

Another user, Gbenga Asabe, noted that he had always known VeryDarkMan was an important tool to Nigerians.

“Thank God, you are now all seeing what I am seeing in VDM. We thank Jehovah God Almighty for sending him to Nigerians as a freedom fighter. I’ve always known that VDM is better than the government.

Jonathan Adaidu wrote, “Verydarkblackman is more useful than ALL the so called Nigerian yeyebrities. Visiting the scenes in Jos and Benue is beyond clout.”

“VeryDarkMan has now proven that his fight for Nigerians is genuine, every well-meaning Nigerian should take him seriously. He has done what a lot of public figures will never do,” were the words of Emmanuel Theophilus.

Daniel Akpa said, “How he came in here and calm the situation down today is worthy of note. The government could have killed a lot today without media report, but his presence change the narrative and he advised them on how to protest not blocking the federal highways.”

According to Victor Brain, “VDM has taken the job of our sleeping president. VDM is doing a great job.”

Thomas Obaka, “I maintain that VDM should be made to hold a political office, he will function better that way. This guy loves Nigerians dearly, we should stop rotating failures as leaders.

Responding to Obaka, Raphael Madaki said, “You are very correct. If it will take Nigerians to donate money to him, we have to do it. Someone like VDM will definitely handle our money well, he has proven so with the NGO funds with him“.
