El-Rufai should be facing trial for genocide, says Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, a prominent public figure, has called for a former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai to face trial for genocide and mass murder.

According to Omokri in a post he made on X on Monday, past utterances of the former governor and minister are enough to drag him before the International Criminal Court to answer for his alleged crimes.

The former presidential media aide hailed the people of Imo State for reportedly rejecting El-Rufai when he visited the state to deliver a lecture.

Omokri slammed former presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for associating with El-Rufai, to the point of inviting him to the state, accusing the former Anambra governor of desperation.

He said, Nasir El-Rufai Should Be Facing Trial For Genocide and Mass Murder At The International Criminal Court, Rather Than Giving The Odenigbo Lecture In Imo State

“I commend the people of Imo State for erupting in spontaneous protests over the presence of Malam Nasir El-Rufai in their state. And shame on Peter Obi for bringing a man who insulted Jesus and helped make Nigeria the most dangerous place in the world to be a Muslim, according to the U.S. Congress, to Imo State because of his political desperation to replace President Tinubu in 2027.

“Nasir El-Rufai, an unrepentant fiend, who boasted on Channels Television of the 2015 Zaria massacre of Shia Muslims, where, under the Nasir El-Rufai Kaduna State government, 348 Shiite men, women, children and infants were slaughtered during the genocide of Shiites on Saturday, December 12, 2015. That was the official death toll. Amnesty International reported that it was closer to 1000.

“A man under whom the Southern Kaduna Genocide occurred. Southern Kaduna became the Darfur of Nigeria, where Christians were annihilated on an almost industrial scale.”

Omokri further berated El-Rufai, citing several derogatory statements credited to the former governor, including threatening to send back European Union observers of the 2019 presidential elections in “body bags”.

He concluded, “Nasir El-Rufai ought to be facing trial for crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court, not gallivanting around from church to church in Imo State. I celebrate the people of Imo for rejecting the pint-sized genocidal Omar al-Bashir wannabe. I am surprised at Peter Obi, who, only three days ago, claimed to be sick, but has miraculously recovered at the sight of the evil midget enough to transform into his sidekick!”
