Saraki celebrates Yar’Adua’s legacy of integrity

Dr Bukola Saraki, the former Senate President,  has celebrated late and former President of Nigeria, President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua who died eleven years ago.

Saraki on his Twitter handle said that Nigeria lost a selfless, patriotic and committed leader eleven years ago when Yar’Adua died.

Yar’Adua  was the President of Nigeria’s from 2007 to 2010.

Yar’Adua had left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia to receive treatment for pericarditis he came back to Nigeria on 24 February 2010 and he died on 5 May.

Saraki said: ‘On this day 11-years ago, Nigeria lost a selfless, patriotic and committed leader — and I lost a great friend. As we remember President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua today, we celebrate his legacy of integrity and pray that the mercy of Almighty Allah (SWT) continues to be upon him. Amin.
