Properties Worth N203,125,344 Lost To Fire In Iigawa

Property valued at N203,125,344k were lost to fire incidence from January to October this year, the Jigawa state Director Fire Services, Alh. Haruna Adamu has disclosed.

Speaking to our correspondent in his office while enumerating some of the major breakthrough of the board stated we saved thirty two lives, while record 16 death’s.

During the period under review we have received about 264 fire calls from members of the public whom were drawn from different locations in the state.

He cautioned households to be warry of harmattan haze, as well taken precautionary measures against fire outbreak, and report on time any given fire incidence promptly in taking rapid response.

The Director unbehalf of the management and staffs commended Governor Badaru in giving training of ACC and FCC training opportunity to 20 fire officers of our department, in addition to the provision of other working facilities to enhance the operational status of the department.

Also solicits for more support and patronage of jigawa state government over the provision of modern working tool’s, as well an increase in man power development for more improve service delivery.
