The Federal Government has announced the approval of a 20 per cent increase in salaries for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
Minister for Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi made the announcement after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting on Wednesday.
The FEC meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Dingyadi said that the increase will take effect from January 2022.

He stated further that the increase is a “product of the issues raised during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020.”
The Minister added that the upward review is meant to boost the morale of police personnel across the country.
