
A former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Allison-Madueke has denied reports that she pleaded with President Bola Tinubu to allow her return to Nigeria.
ThisNigeria had reported that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had shared a report by a publication which claimed that Diezani appealed to the president to allow her return to Nigeria due to her ill health.
The report also claimed that she confessed to keeping billions of dollars in the care of Zamfara Governor, Dauda Lawal.

However, in an interview with Premium Times, Diezani described the report as “fake and concocted”.
I did not grant an interview to anyone and therefore did not say any of the things attributed to me. It is fake news concocted for reasons I do not know,” she said.
