Sunday Sodipe, the 19-year-old serial killer who was apprehended by the State Police in Oyo State, escaped from the Mokola Police Station last week and various efforts to capture him has proved abortive.
This has prompted the community heads in the area to put heads together to proffer a solution to the matter. To complement the efforts of the Nigerian Police Force and governor, the community heads have recruited the help of Soludero Hunters of Nigeria, Oodua Peoples Congress and Agbekoya to fish out the escaped criminal.
Oba Abioye, one of the community heads, said: “We are going to make some sacrifices. We believe that after the sacrifices, we will fish him out. With the power of God, he will use his legs to come out. God will accept the sacrifices and make it possible for us to fish him.”
Family of those slain by Sodipe believe that Sodipe was released, and did not escape, but are hopeful that Sodipe will be brought to book despite all the conspiracies.
