
Germany has announced that its new West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention will be launched in Ghana.
German Ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff made the announcement on Thursday via his verified Twitter account.
He said that the centre in Ghana is part of the eight new centres worldwide to fight global challenges.
“Excellent news: Germany Flag of Germany will support [the] launch of a new ‘German-West African Center for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention.’It will be located in Ghana and be part of 8 new centres worldwide to fight global challenges,” the tweet read.

Recall that the Minister for Information, Lai Mohammed had blamed the media and “unpatriotic Nigerians” for Twitter’s decision to situate its West African Headquarters in Ghana.
