The Federal College of Education (FCE), Yola, has called on its members of staff and the general public especially the immediate host community, to submit a memorandum of assessment of the institution.
According to it, this is preparation to receive a visitation panel from the Federal Government.
Mr. Gidado Ahmed, Acting Registrar of the College, made the call in a statement issued on Thursday in Yola.
He stated that recently, the Federal Government constituted visitation panels to all Federal Polytechnics and Colleges of Education in the country to review the activities of the institutions based on their core mandates.
According to him, the panels are to assess their performances in the last 10 years, spanning the period of 2011 to 2015 and 2016 to 2020.
“The panel will appreciate if 10 copies each of the memoranda, neatly typed and signed, will reach the Secretary of the Panel at the College Academic Board Room not later than 6:00 p.m on May 4, 2021” he stated.
Ahmed urged that the memoranda would be in line with the panel’s terms of reference which touches the quality of leadership, financial management, academic programs, policies, and practice.
Others include the relationship between the institution and various statutory bodies and advice on any and all other aspects of the institution.
