Izuchukwu Achuism, 42, has been identified as the businessman who drowned in the swimming pool at Lotus Garden Hotel in Onitsha. He had visited the hotel with the aim of enjoying himself with an unidentified female companion.
The Central Police Station was informed about the drowning of Izuchukwu around 8:30 on the 15th of August, and his body has been removed to the mortuary. Details of his drowning have not been concluded and the investigation is still ongoing.
It is becoming imperative that people learn swimming skills and adhere to safety rules so as to prevent a recurrence of this event.
