The Nigerian International and Union Berlin striker, Taiwo Awoniyi has advised upcoming players to be patient and dedicated while pursuing their football careers in order to achieve their ultimate dreams.
The Super Eagles’ striker gave the advice yesterday in Ilorin during his interface with the members of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Kwara State Chapter.
Taiwo Awoniyi who hailed from Olla town in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State and a product of grassroots football, identified commitment, steadfastness, and prayers as a panacea to achieving personal progress and development.

The Bundesliga Star, who maintained that giving back to society is one of his core mandates, believes in the power of social responsibility as a sign of reciprocating the good gesture of the host community.
Awoniyi Commended football Stakeholders for their fervent prayers and for also believing in him to do the state proud in the national team assignments, adding that, not being invited for the AFCON qualifiers does not mean he can’t be part of future assignments of the Super Eagles.
He said he and his teammates regretted their failure to qualify Nigeria for the World cup in Qatar and asked fans and supporters to continue supporting the Super Eagles, especially in the AFCON qualifiers to qualify for the 2023 Africa biggest soccer fiesta in Ivory coast.
