Social media activist, Vincent Otse, VeryDarkMan (VDM) has accused operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of attempting to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit.
The activist said this late Wednesday in a video he posted on his Facebook page, noting that the agency wants him down because they believe he speaks rudely to the EFCC chairman, Ola Olukoyede.
On how he discovered the plan of the officers, VDM, who claimed to have informants in offices across the country, including the EFCC, said he was informed that an influencer and a lawyer tabled his matter before the agency today.
He said, “EFCC Abuja, I heard you people had two visitors today, one of them an influencer and the other one a very big influencer lawyer. I know you people will be wondering how I found out but here’s the thing, I have a lot of informants in your office and other offices in this country.
“I heard I was the reason they came, they talked about me and brought one or two clips and one picture where I was spraying money to say it was time to arrest me, which the officer they spoke to agreed with, claiming I often speak rudely to their boss.
“So, you people’s interests align and you’re teaming up to frame VeryDarkMan. I’m not scared of you people, bring it on. I’ve never done fraud in my life so why should I be scared of you people or talk against the ills of the institutions and their bosses?”
On the NGO funds in his possession, the activist said he moved N10,000,000 for a borehole project he is doing in Jos, Plateau State, stressing that he can make an account of how he spends the money.
