The Federal Government says it has received the £4.2 million loot of former Delta State Governor, James Ibori.
This was confirmed on Tuesday by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami in a statement by his media aide, Dr Umar Gwandu.
The naira equivalent of the loot has been credited to the designated account of the Federal Government, according to the statement.
The AGF had signed a signed Memorandum of Understanding for the repatriation of the Ibori loot on behalf of the FG in March.

According to Malami, the government would use the funds for the completion of ongoing work on the 2nd Niger Bridge, Abuja to Kano and Lagos Ibadan expressways.
However, the Delta State Government had said that the loot should have been returned to the state.
Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore had said that the loot should be used to fund the education of students in the state.
