The Zone 13 Police headquarters in Ukpo, Anambra state, has been attacked and razed by unidentified hoodlums on Monday.

According to reports, the incident which occurred at about 4.a.m left two policemen dead, with not less than four vehicles burnt.

It was also learnt that the administrative building at the headquarters was razed by fire.

This attack in Anambra comes two weeks after unknown gunmen attacked a correctional facility in Owerri and the Imo state Police headquarters, freeing about 1800 prisoners.

Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu had blamed members of the Indigenous People of Biafra for the attack, an allegation that was denied by the separationist movement.
