Former Lagos MILAD’s son, Olaolu, killed by hit & run driver

A son of the former Lagos State Military Administrator, Olaolu Mudashiru, was yesterday reportedly killed in Lagos by a hit-and-run driver in the Ikoyi area of the state.

Olaolu, a son of the late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru, died following an accident on Gerrard Road (Onikoyi end), in the upscale neighborhood of Ikoyi, Lagos, yesterday morning. The late Olaolu was a co-Founder and Deputy Managing Director of VETIVA, one of the nation’s leading Capital Management firms.

It was also learned that the charismatic and lively Olaolu, who was a businessman/investment banker, was cycling with two other professional cyclists when a drunk driver rammed into their bicycles and sped off, leaving them with very serious injuries.

He and the two other cyclists, whose identities were not clear, were said to have been rushed immediately to the Lagoon Hospital on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, where he eventually died from injuries sustained on his head.

“This hit-and-run driver must be found,” one of the late Mudashiru’s friends, reportedly said yesterday.

The late Mudashiru, who was in his early fifties, was a medical doctor and was the son of former Lagos State Military Administrator, the late Air Commodore Gbolahan Mudashiru.
