The newly decorated Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Abubakar Sadiq, has handed over the duties of the office of Commissioner of Police, FCT Command to the most senior officer at the Command, Deputy Commissioner of Police, State Criminal Investigations Department, DCP Ahmed Musa.
Public Relations Officer FCT Police Command, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement, said that the change in leadership followed the commissioner’s recent promotion to the rank of AIG and subsequent posting to a new duty post.
The Spokesperson said that he directed that all communications should be forwarded to the DCP pending the posting of a new CP to the Command.
In the same vein, the outgoing AIG expressed his deep appreciation to all the officers of the command for their support and contributions, which earned the command the successes recorded during his tour of duty.
AIG Sadiq Abubakar, who has been posted as Commandant, Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, assured that he will certainly miss all the officers of the Command.
The Command maintains its resoluteness to uphold the tenets of professional policing, quick response to citizen’s complaints/emergencies, and general police reforms which forms the hallmark of the current force leadership.
