#RevolutionNow convener and Publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore has called for the release of popular Kayanmata seller, Hauwa Mohammed a.k.a Jaruma.
Jaruma was remanded at the Suleja Correctional Centre, Abuja following a petition by Nollywood actress, Regina Daniel and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
The controversial aphrodisiac merchant was remanded by an Abuja Upper Area court following her arraignment by the Nigeria Police for allegedly defaming, intimidating Daniels and Nwoko.
Reacting to the situation, Sowore condemned Jaruma’s detention and berated the Nigeria Police for “deploying itself to despicable VIP mercenary activities”

“#FreeJaruma: It is disheartening that Nigeria Police Force continues to deploy itself to despicable VIP mercenary activities. This so-called Billionairë, Ned Nwoko has done so much damage to lots of innocent citizens in his community with the aid of the Nigerian police.
“Jaruma is his latest victim. This culture cannot stand! Defamation is a civil matter! Let @jaruma_empire go. #RevolutionNow #WeCantContinueLikeThis,” he wrote on his instagram page.
